If you’re just taking up the game of pickleball, we’d like to provide a few reminders to keep you safe and at your best on the court:

  • Always save time before game play for a brief warm-up and stretch. This will help to prevent injury and get you ready for optimal performance.
  • Make sure there’s nothing you could trip over or wet spots on the court that could cause a slip and fall injury.
  • Avoid moves that can put you at greater risk of a fall, like backpedaling for a ball or overextending your reach.
  • Always communicate with your partner so your game remains free of dangerous collisions.
  • Consider investing in a pair of protective eye goggles, which can keep your eyes safe from impact injuries.
