A Licensed Physical Therapist with 26 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation (acute, subacute, and chronic) conditions. A graduate of Don Bosco High School (Ramsey, NJ), and the winner of the Ironman trophy in 1984. Received an undergraduate degree in Biology in Springfield Ma,. Dr. Christian earned a Master’s Degree in 2000 at Rutgers University, Newark. Employed in many facets of science and education including Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in research in immunology and rheumatology (1988-1996). In 2016-2022 he served as an Adjunct Professor at Steven’s Institute of Technology (Biomechanics) in Hoboken NJ, and Bergen Community College (Anatomy and Physiology) in Paramus, NJ. Dr. Christian understands that leaning is a lifetime process, therefore in 2024, received a certification in Manual Therapy (COMT) from the world prestigious Institute of Aspire OMT training facility. Is currently working on a SMT certification through Aspire OMT. Dr. Christian enjoys treating ankle/foot, hip, and spinal neuromusculoskeletal disorders, LBP, pelvis, thoracic/ribs, cervicogenic headaches and cervical spinal disorders, and is happy to be joining the Oakland Spine and Physical Therapy team. Dr. Christian and his wife are kept busy with three teenaged children, but he also enjoys fly fishing, RV’ing, ice hockey, baseball, basketball, and volleyball activities.
