Dr. Candace DeVito grew up in nearby Chatham, New Jersey. Growing up as a multi- sport athlete, her interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, and related integrative therapies began at a young age. She attended Virginia Tech, where she competed on the Virginia Tech Alpine ski team and achieved her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience in 2018. Following her undergraduate education, her specific interest in chiropractic emerged via firsthand experience with near-immediate pain relief of her shoulder pain from chiropractic treatment, which had previously persisted for 10+ years prior with insignificant relief from medical or surgical treatment.

Dr. Candace graduated magna cum laude with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Masters of Acupuncture degree from University of Bridgeport in 2023. While in school, Dr. Candace held a national leadership position as the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) Vice Chair of Enrichment. Her clinical education included internships at two Connecticut-based community healthcare clinics and the West Haven Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital.

As a chiropractor and acupuncturist at Oakland Spine, Dr. Candace is eager to further enable patients in achieving their unique functional goals and pain reduction. She is excited to collaborate with the multifaceted Oakland Spine team in order to provide the highest level of care available to patients.
